Ogden, Utah December 2008 Dear Ladies, December is here already. This year has gone by so fast. I want to thank everyone for two wonderful years serving as your Chapter President. This is a great Chapter with many dedicated painters. Thank you Terry for teaching in November. You’re a great teacher, the project was beautiful and the class was great fun. On January 10th, Carol Wilson will be teaching the "Birthday Music Box." She said her grandchildren love it when they come to visit. This should be a fun class. We have two Seminars planned for this coming year. One with Ronnie Bringle and the other with Bobbie Takashima. Both are extremely talented teachers and we are fortunate to have them teach at our Chapter. Let’s get our dues paid, sign up for the seminars and support them. Our Christmas Party will be held in the Roy Senior Center at 1:00 on December 6th. CarolAnn has a lot of fun games planned and some surprises under her HAT! Come join us for some fun. Please join me in welcoming the 2009 Board Members. Rebecca Chaffee, President; Glenda Mitchell, Vice President; Tirzah Probasco, Second Vice President; Terry Pulver, Newsletter Editor; CarolAnn Smith, Treasure and Mickey Hutchinson, Secretary. I’m sure they will do a great job. I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Nancy |

March Ronnie Bringle Seminar
Ronnie Bringle's love with Decorative Painting began nearly 40 year ago when she visited
a friend and saw her work. When she moved to Washington and could no longer find a teacher,
she decided she would teach. Ronnie spent most of her early years trying to keep ahead of
her students. She switched from painting in oils to acrylics in 1985 and while she says she
still misses oils, she feels more confident with acrylics because of the time she has spent
practicing with them. Ronnie has taught in everything from college extension classes to craft
shops, SDP and other conventions, and her home studio. She has been teaching seminars throughout
the U.S., Canada, Australia and New Zealand for the last 17 years. She labels her style of
painting as "Ameri-Country". And says her favorite part of painting is teaching.
Apples on the Vine

The bowl must be paid-in-full before it can be ordered. The balance for the seminar
is to be paid when the pattern and/or bowl are picked up.
Bramble Bunny

Lunchs are included in the seminar price. All lunches will include bottled
water and dessert. Coffee, tea and hot chocolate will be provided during the
seminar.

about your national membership renewal with you last Decorative Painters magazine. National

(Pay SDP dues directly to the Society.) Please pay your local dues ($15) to the treasurer
